Arsenal reportedly keen on player swap deal with Barcelona

|

Arsenal are willing to talk about selling Hector Bellerin to Barcelona, reports El Gol Digital, but only if midfielder Denis Suarez is included as part of the deal.

The right back asked to leave the club at the start of the summer, BBC journalist David Ornstein has reported, but Barca eventually ended their pursuit of the Spaniard and opted to sign Benfica full back Nelson Semedo instead.

Manager Arsene Wenger is however willing to reconsider letting Bellerin leave, according to El Gol Digital, if Suarez is part of Barca’s bid for the defender.

This story is a bit of a strange one to be honest. Barca’s full back situation looked to have been resolved by signing Semedo, while Suarez has played a more prominent role under new manager Ernesto Valverde this season so his departure looks unlikely.

The links seems a very tenuous one, and although it probably is the case that Bellerin would like a move to the Camp Nou, there is nothing to suggest that Barca or Arsenal would be interested in making a deal happen in the immediate future.
