Arsenal will only make a move for Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez if they lose Alexis Sanchez before the end of the transfer window, according to Don Balon.

The Spanish publication reports the 26 year old is attracting interest from other Premier League clubs with Liverpool also having looked at the Spaniard. The player himself is reportedly keen to stay at the Bernabeu but the lack of game time may force him to look for opportunities elsewhere.

Real boss Zinedine Zidane has generally played Vazquez on the right of a front three for the La Liga champions. Last season he played in 50 games in all competitions, scoring four goals and providing 14 assists, but it is likely he will be given a much reduced role this campaign.

The emergence of Marco Asensio, and the increase in prominence of Isco’s role in the first team, means that Vazquez has too much competition, but the Gunners are seemingly not prepared to make a bid for the Spaniard unless something drastic happens with the Sanchez situation.
