Arsenal winger Joel Campbell does not want to go out on another loan spell, according to the Guardian.

The most recent of his five loan moves was when he played for Sporting Lisbon last season but the Costa Rican international seems to have suggested to Arsene Wenger that the Gunners boss should either play him or sell him.

The latter option is the more likelier to happen this summer. The 25 year old counts as one of the 17 non homegrown players in Arsenal’s squad, and with 25 senior players only allowed in the Premier League, he could be one of the 28 senior team members to miss out on a place.

One of the major problems that could scupper his departure from the club is the knee injury he sustained on international duty in July. If no team decides to take a risk on him, he may have to sit out the first half of the domestic season out of the first team squad before he can secure a transfer in January instead.
