Arsenal have offered right back Mathieu Debuchy to Brighton & Hove Albion on a free transfer, according to the Mirror.
Manager Arsene Wenger has been desperately trying to offload the 32 year old all summer but so far there have been no suitors for the former French international.
Debuchy’s last appearance for the Gunners came against Bournemouth back in November, but he lasted just 15 minutes before having to be taken off with a hamstring injury. He had spent the second half of the previous season on loan at Bordeaux.
Another French club Nice were reportedly considering a move for the full back earlier this summer but they opted to sign Christophe Jallet from Lyon instead. A switch to Besiktas has also been suggested but so far the Frenchman has not come to an agreement with the Turkish champions.
Arsenal spent £12m on the defender back in 2014 but he has effectively been on the transfer list since January after failing to make a single appearance for the Gunners in the second half of last season despite being available for selection.
