Liverpool are prepared to offer between €30m (£26.9m) and €40m (£35.8m) for Barcelona midfielder Rafinha, according to Mundo Deportivo. The Catalan newspaper reports that Arsenal, Tottenham, Inter and AC Milan are also in the running for the 24 year old.

The central midfielder has been out with a knee injury since April and did not travel with the Barca squad for the club’s pre-season tour of the United States. He is however expected to return to full fitness before the start of the season.

Rafinha has a contract until 2020 with a release clause of €75million but Mundo Deportivo say Barcelona would be delighted if they receive an offer around the €30m mark for the player.

Despite his injury, the Brazilian international still played 28 times last season under manager Luis Enrique, starting on 18 occasions. He also managed seven goals and five assists which demonstrates his attacking instincts. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is currently light on attack minded central midfield players with Jack Wilshere expected to leave this summer, and Santi Cazorla still injured, and it could prompt him to make a move for the Barca midfielder.
