Arsenal set to launch world record bid for French ace?

|

Arsenal are reportedly ready to launch a monstrous £125million world record bid for Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe.

The 18-year-old wonderkid set the Ligue 1 and Champions league alight last season with some impressive displays for Leonardo Jardim’s side and has attracted interest from several top clubs around Europe, including Arsenal and Real Madrid.

Real Madrid could be looking to add a new frontman to their squad this summer with Alvaro Morata being tipped with a move away from the Bernabeu this summer.

The Madrid giants look the favourites to land Mbappe, who netted 26 goals for Monaco last season, but it’s now being suggested by the Daily Mirror that the Gunners will go all out within the upcoming days to try and pip Champions League winners for his services.

Arsene Wenger has already held talks with Mbappe’s father over a possible move to Arsenal and assured him that his son will become the main man in his side should he join the Gunners.

Should Mbappe decide to join Real then he will have to fight it out with Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale for a spot in the Madrid starting line-up.

Monaco manager Jardim is hoping to keep Mbappe, having already lost Bernardo Silva’s services to Manchester City. But should a reported £125million world record fee come in from Arsenal, or any other club for that matter, for the teenager then it will be very hard for the Ligue 1 club to turn down.
