Arsenal frontman could move to one of three clubs but he’ll have to wait

|

Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud is being pursued by Marseille, Everton and West Ham United but Gunners boss Arsene Wenger won’t allow him to leave until there is certainty over other players’ futures, according to the Daily Telegraph.

It is believed the 30 year old will have to wait and see whether Alexis Sanchez signs a new contract to stay at the Emirates, and if Arsenal secure the signing of Thomas Lemar from Monaco.

After the record signing of Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon, the Gunners have four recognised front players at their disposal with Giroud, Danny Welbeck and Lucas Perez all able to play up top. With Sanchez and Theo Walcott also capable through the middle, it may be surprising that Wenger is being cautious at ensuring he has enough attacking options for next season.

With Sanchez’s future still up in the air though, Perez wanting to leave and the likes of Mesut Ozil, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and Jack Wilshere all heading into the final year of their contracts, it seems Giroud will have to be patient if he wants to leave the club this summer.
