Arsenal are scouting Dinamo Zagreb centre back Filip Benkovic, according to Calciomercato.com. The Gunners will however have a number of rivals if they want to sign the 20 year old this summer.
Croatian newspaper Sportske Novosti report Inter have already made a €15m bid for the defender nicknamed “Big Ben,” but there is also reportedly interest from Chelsea, Fiorentina and Zenit St Petersburg.
The centre half has made 47 appearances for Dinamo since making his debut against NK Osijek in a league match back in July 2015. He has also played at the highest level in the Champions League, making his first appearance in a group stage match against Arsenal in September 2015. He came on with two minutes to go in the 2-1 win over the Gunners.
Over the last two seasons he has faced the likes of Bayern Munich, Juventus, Sevilla and Lyon in Europe. Despite his European experience however, he has yet to make his senior debut for Croatia, with just two caps for the Under 21 side so far.
