Chinese club look to unsettle Arsenal defender with contract proposal

|

A Chinese club have talked to representatives of Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny regarding a move to the Far East, according to Le10 Sport.

The French website report that the unnamed Chinese Super League side has offered a considerable financial deal to the 31 year old but as of yet the Frenchman has not made a decision on the offer.

Talking on French TV station Telefoot over the weekend, Koscielny said he remains keen on staying at the Emirates although he didn’t rule out moving to Marseille in the future.

The Ligue One side have been linked with a move for the French international, while Telefoot also are reporting that Manchester City and Chinese Super League clubs would be keen on the centre half if he ever decided to leave the Gunners.

Koscielny is a crucial part of manager Arsene Wenger’s plans, and after signing a new contract only back in January, a move away from Arsenal looks highly doubtful as things stand.
