Arsenal are among three clubs who have made bids for Fenerbahce centre back Simon Kjaer, according to Turksvoetbal.net.

The Dutch website say they believe the Gunners have offered €12million (£10.6m) for the Danish international, while AC Milan and Inter Milan have offered €10million for the 28 year old.

Fenerbahce are however holding out for €15million (£13.25m), and it looks that if Arsenal have made a bid €3million below the asking price, the offer will be rejected.

Kjaer has spent the last two years in Turkey after signing from Lile for £6.5million in the summer of 2015. He has had spells in France, in Italy with Palermo and in Germany with Wolfsburg but he has never really established himself at one club, having spent no more than two years at the teams he has played for.

Although he does have 69 caps for Denmark, Kjaer is a player who has never quite fulfilled his potential, and with Arsenal already having four recognised centre halves in the squad, a move for the centre back seems unlikely.
