Bayern won’t challenge Arsenal in pursuit of £26m rated playmaker

|

Bayern Munich are scouting Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso but he is not the German club’s top transfer target, according to Bild.

BeIn Sport reporter Margot Dumont reported on Twitter that the Bundesliga champions and two English clubs are interested in the 22 year old, but Bild believe Bayern are only seeking to sign established World Class talent this summer.

The German publication do however say that Arsenal, Chelsea, AC Milan and Juventus have all “signalled” their interest in the player already, and that he could cost upwards of €30million (£26m).

Tolisso performed well for Lyon last season, scoring 14 goals and providing seven assists in 47 matches. He primarily plays in a central midfield area; a position that manager Arsene Wenger is no doubt seeking to strengthen this summer.

The Frenchman will certainly be on the Gunners boss’s radar after also making his debut for France in the 2-0 friendly defeat to Spain back in March.
