Jens Lehmann believes Alexis Sanchez would be a perfect fit for Bayern Munich.
Sanchez will have one-year left to run on his existing deal at Arsenal at the end of the season and has been heavily linked with a move away following a disappointing campaign at the Emirates.
A horde of Europe’s finest, including Inter Milan, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid, Chelsea and Bayern Munich have all been linked with a move for the Chilean this summer, and former Gunner Lehmann reckons whilst the striker is not a typical target of the German giants, he would ‘fit in’ at Bayern.
Speaking to Sky Deutschland (via the Daily Mail), Lehmann said on the matter:
‘He would fit in at Bayern, although he is not the typical wide player they are seeking. He likes to cut inside, I have seen players that make better decisions on the pitch, but perhaps he can learn that.
‘He is a street footballer, you notice that when he is on the pitch. Playing him in a system is not so easy but it would be nice to see him in the Bundesliga.’
Sanchez has netted 24 goals in 46 appearances in all competitions thus far. However, his form has dipped in recent weeks following speculation over his future at Arsenal.
Wenger will not want to lose the services of Sanchez this summer, but has recently stated that he will only sell to a club abroad rather than a Premier League rival.
