Arsenal will reportedly attempt to sell Alexis Sanchez to Paris Saint-Germain if the Chilean refuses to sign a new deal at the Emirates.

Arsene Wenger, whose future also remains unclear at present, is hoping to keep the 28-year-old at Arsenal but fears the striker has already decided to leave the club at the end of the season.

If Sanchez opts to call it quits at Arsenal this summer then Wenger will not allow him to leave and join Premier League rivals Chelsea or Manchester City. Instead, the Frenchman will look to strike a £50million deal with Ligue 1 giants PSG.

Wenger is understood to have a healthy friendship with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and also suspects he has held talks with Sanchez’s representatives over a possible summer transfer.

Sanchez will enter the final year of his deal this summer and talks over a new contract have been shelved for the time being. However, reports have suggested that the Chilean wants around £300,000-a-week to stay, a claim which Wenger recently dismissed, but the Frenchman knows the 22-goal striker wants more than money to remain at the Emirates.

Since his arrival from Barcelona in 2014, Sanchez has won one FA Cup, while also seeing his side struggle to challenge for the Premier and Champions League.

Sanchez has admitted that he is happy in London and keen to stay in the Capital, fuelling speculation that he could be interested in joining Chelsea, whom are reportedly keen on his services.

However, Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola, who managed Sanchez while at Barcelona, is also interested in the Chilean and are set to match any Chelsea offer.
