Spanish club officials travel to London to watch Arsenal star

|

Barcelona technical director Robert Fernandez, and his assistant Urbano Ortega, have travelled to London in order to watch Arsenal’s match against Bayern Munich tomorrow night, reports Mundo Deportivo.

The Spanish newspaper say Fernandez and Ortega will be at the Emirates to keep an eye on Hector Bellerin, who the Catalan club have targeted as a potential signing in the summer transfer window.

Bellerin signed a six and half year deal in November which keeps the 21 year old at the Gunners until 2023 but Barca are reportedly determined to land the Spanish international in order to resolve their problems at right back.

Mundo Deportivo report that the club are interested in Bayern’s Joshua Kimmich and David Alaba, but they are believed to be remote possibilities, and they say Catalan Bellerin would be more open to a move despite signing a new deal at the Emirates. Valencia’s Joao Cancelo is said to be Barca’s other option but they are more keen on capturing the Arsenal star.
