Arsenal stalwart may consider future this summer

|

Laurent Koscielny says he is happy at Arsenal and with Arsene Wenger but has hinted that he could consider his future at the end of the season.

Arsenal currently occupy sixth place in the Premier League after a poor run of results as of late and were also dumped out of the Champions League in humiliating fashion by Bayern Munich earlier in the month.

Wenger’s future remains unclear but has decided whether he will oversee the club next season. Reports have suggested that several players, including Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil will consider their own future this summer if the Frenchman continues as manager. However, another handful of players like Nacho Monreal, Hector Bellerin and Olivier Giroud are keen for him to stay.

Koscielny, arguably the club’s best centre-back, has little to say on the matter but has recently claimed that he is happy at the Emirates and acknowledged the fact that Wenger made him into the player he is today.

And although he has expressed his willingness to remain at Arsenal and has no reason to depart the north London club, the 31-year-old did drop a little hint that he could consider his future depending on the outcome of the season:

“Arsene Wenger made me.

“We are in a difficult situation. It is not only his responsibility.

“I feel good at Arsenal. My family is good in London. I’ve no reason to leave. Let’s finish as high as possible. Then I’ll see.”
