Barcelona will look to Hector Bellerin this summer to fill the void left by Dani Alves, reports Andrew Richardson of The Sun.
Alves left Barcelona for Juventus last summer and Bellerin was reportedly on the Catalan club’s radar. However, the Arsenal right-back quashed rumours he was going back to his former club, claiming he was happy at the Emirates.
As a result, Luis Enrique opted against signing a right-back this season and has attempted to convert winger Sergi Roberto into a full-back this season. Unfortunately for the Spaniard, it hasn’t worked. Roberto has struggled to adapt to his new role and it is now been suggested that the La Liga club will again try to lure Bellerin back to the Camp Nou, as they see him as the ideal man for the job.
The one stumbling block for Barcelona is that Bellerin recently signed a new deal to stay at Arsenal.
However, with the potential of Arsene Wenger leaving Arsenal this summer, The Sun says it could give Bellerin a reason to leave the Emirates.
