Arsenal star doesn’t want to replicate Fabregas mistake

|

Hector Bellerin would rather join Manchester City than Barcelona because he doesn’t want to replicate Cesc Fabregas’ mistake.

Although Bellerin appears settled at Arsenal, having signed a new long-term deal with the club in November, the Spaniard continues to be linked with a move back to Barcelona.

Barcelona failed in their advances to sign Bellerin last summer having lost Dani Alves to Juventus, but it is now thought the La Liga side will try again at the end of the season.

However, Don Balon now suggests Bellerin is reportedly keen to avoid making the same mistake as Fabregas did when he returned to Barcelona and would rather join Manchester City instead.

Fabregas re-joined Barcelona back in August 2011 but did not see a lot of game time at the Camp Nou. This is something the Arsenal right-back does not want for himself and is believed to be attracted by Pep Guardiola’s style of football at the Etihad.

The 21-year-old is largely considered to remain an Arsenal player come the end of the summer transfer window, but his future at the club could depend on whether Arsene Wenger stays at the Emirates.
