Arsenal have been joined by Barcelona, Manchester City and AC Milan in the race to sign Feyenoord full back Rick Karsdorp, according to calciomercato.com.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with the 22 year old over the past few months in the Dutch media, to the extent which manager Arsene Wenger has actually had to come out and deny that they were looking to sign the Dutch international.

The Arsenal boss did however praise Karsdorp’s abilities which means a move for the right back may not be off the agenda if both Carl Jenkinson and Mathieu Debuchy leave the Emirates in the summer as expected.

Jenkinson has not featured for the Gunners since turning down a move to Crystal Palace in January while Debuchy has been given permission by Wenger to search for a new club. Centre back Gabriel has been utilised as Hector Bellerin’s deputy in the position since the the New Year.

Karsdorp has had an excellent season for Feyenoord. The Dutch club lead the Eredivisie by five points after ten consecutive wins, and the 22 year old has started every single match this campaign.
