Arsenal and Chelsea are the leading the chase to sign Atletico Madrid forward Yannick Carrasco, reports The Sun.
The Belgium international, 23, has drawn attention from several clubs around Europe this season, and it’s been reported that Atletico Madrid may be prepared to sell the winger as potential suitors look to improve their squads this summer.
Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are thought to be among the chasing pack, but it’s Arsenal and Chelsea who are frontrunners for Carrasco’s signature.
It’s thought Carrasco has become unsettled at the Vicente Calderon this season after falling out with manager Diego Simeone, which has left the player and club open to the idea of a transfer this summer. But it would take a bid of around £40million to tempt Atleti to consider selling the Belgian.
Arsenal have been linked with Carrasco in the past but a move never materialized. However, with the future of Alexis Sanchez in doubt, perhaps the Gunners will reignite their interest in the Atleti winger at the end of the season
