Paris Saint-Germain will allow midfielder Blaise Matuidi to leave the club at the end of the season, according Yahoo Sports France.

Arsenal have reportedly been scouting the French international while Juventus also attempted to sign the 29 year old in the summer.

Matuidi will have just one year left on his contract at the end of this season, and was keen on leaving the Ligue One champions when Juve came calling last summer so it is unlikely that the midfielder would have agreed to a new deal.

The most likely destination currently seems to be the Chinese Super League, Yahoo Sports report. Matuidi’s salary of €12million a season (nearly £200,000 a week) will be a stumbling block for most clubs, but teams from the Far East would be able to match the Frenchman’s salary demands.

Whether Arsenal would follow up on their reported scouting missions to see Matuidi in the coming months, with the player likely to depart PSG, it remains to be seen.
