Arsenal are reportedly monitoring forward Antoine Griezmann ahead of a sensational summer swoop.

It’s believed approached the international over a possible move to the during Euro 2016, but the player declined the offer, claiming he was happy at Atletico.

However, Metro now claims the 25-year-old could be more open to a move away from the at the end of the season, with the club slipping to sixth place in La Liga and manager ’s future in doubt.

It seems Wenger is keen to recruit a world-beater upfront should Alexis Sanchez decide to leave and has also targeted a move for Torino striker Andrea Belotti as reported a couple of days ago.

The potential signing of Griezmann would be a massive one, but would almost certainly face stiff competition from Europe’s elite for the Frenchman’s services.

But any move for a new forward will more than likely wait until the end of the season, with Wenger having the likes of Sanchez, Giroud and Welbeck at his disposal.
