Arsenal have reportedly joined the race to sign Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi.
According to the Daily Express (via the Mirror) the Gunners will compete with Manchester City, Chelsea and Juventus for the former Blackburn man’s signature.
It’s believed Arsene Wenger is keen to bolster his squad this month in order to mount a serious title challenge in the second-half of the season, despite recent victories over West Brom and Crystal Palace during the Christmas period.
It’s now said N’Zonzi has appeared on Wenger’s radar, but it remains to be seen whether the Frenchman will make a move for his fellow countryman this month knowing he has several options in midfield already at the Emirates
N’Zonzi, who still has two-and-a-half-years left to run on his existing contract at Sevilla, has made 20 appearances in all competitions so far this season for the La Liga club, and they will be keen to keep hold of the midfielder this January.
