Arsenal and Premier League champions Leicester City are among the clubs who are keeping a close eye on the progress of Nigerian attacking midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo, according to Vanguard.

The daily Nigerian national newspaper say the Gunners and the Foxes sent scouts to see the 21-year-old play for his club Feirense in the Portuguese Cup match against Porto last Thursday.

Etebo is best known for his performance in the 5-4 win over Japan at the 2016 Rio Olympic games when he became the only player in the history of the tournament to score four goals in a single match.

No doubt that performance peaked the interest of a number of European clubs, and it is also believed that Ligue One side Monaco, and Serie A side Atalanta are tracking the Nigerian international.

Etebo only joined Portuguese side Feirense last January, and has scored two goals in 15 appearances, playing mostly on the wing.
