Hoffenheim manager Julian Nagelsmann is the latest coach to have his name linked with the manager’s job if Arsene Wenger leaves the Gunners at the end of the season.
Sport Bild say that Arsenal, Swansea, Borussia Monchengladbach, Inter Milan and a host of other clubs have shown an interest in the 29 year old in recent times.
The 29 year old has had an excellent start to the season with the Bundesliga side. At the winter break his team are still unbeaten in the league although the number of draws (ten) has meant they trail league leaders Bayern Munich by 11 points in fifth place after 16 games.
Nagelsmann started off his coaching career very early after retiring 11 years ago due to a knee injury. He began coaching youth teams in 2008 and was appointed Hoffenheim first team manager back in October 2015; scheduled to take over duties from interim coach Huub Stevens at the end of the season.
He in fact took over last February instead because of issues with Stevens’ health, and in the process, became the youngest ever manager in the German top flight at the age of 28.
Sport Bild do report however that Nagelsmann is expected to sign a new deal at Hoffenheim which would extend his contract by a further year until 2019.
