Arsene Wenger is set to send Arsenal starlet Dan Crowley on loan to Dutch club Go Ahead Eagles when the January transfer window opens.

The 19-year-old was signed by Wenger in 2013 but has failed to make the breakthrough to the Arsenal first-team which led to loan moves away from the club.

Crowley has had loan spells at Barnsley and recently Oxford where he made a combined total of 17 appearances.

The teenager joined Oxford over the summer on a season-long loan but the League Two club opted to terminate the deal due to disciplinary issues in December and the midfielder returned to Arsenal.

However, Crowley was handed a trial by newly promoted Dutch outfit Go Ahead Eagles earlier this month and now looks set to join them on loan until the end of the season.

Wenger will be hoping the midfielder can develop with the Eredivisie side before deciding whether to offer him a new deal, with his current one set to expire at the end of next season.
