Valencia will compete with Arsenal for Benfica winger Goncalo Guedes, according to calciomercato.it.
The La Liga side have good relations with the Portuguese champions due to past deals, and the Italian website say they are keeping tabs on the 20-year-old.
In the last few years Valencia have signed right-back Joao Cancelo and midfielder Enzo Perez from Benfica and could use their connections to also capture Guedes.
The Spanish side are however in crisis under current owner Peter Lim, and sit 17th in La Liga at the winter break. They have brought in manager Cesare Prandelli to steady the ship but if Guedes does decide to leave Benfica, the Gunners would surely provide a more attractive destination than Spain.
Guedes has been in excellent form so far this season. In 24 appearances in all competitions for the Portuguese club, he has scored five time and provided seven assists for his team mates.
