RB Leipzig are the most likely to land promising young French defender Dayot Upamecano, according to Sport.
The Spanish newspaper say that as both Leipzig and Upamecano’s current club Red Bull Salzburg are owned by the same company, the switch to the Bundesliga is looking the most probable.
The centre-back is expected to leave Salzburg at the end of the season regardless, according to Sport, but the player has yet to make up his mind about where to go.
The Spanish publication say that the Frenchman has already rejected an offer from Arsenal but that doesn’t necessarily rule out a further bid for the player.
Sport say Upamecano is waiting for an offer from Barcelona but there hasn’t been any bid from the Catalan giants yet, which could leave the player still mulling over his options if the La Liga club are not keen on firming up their interest.
It looks like at this point then that Leipzig could be the most likely destination for the 18 year old.
