Arsenal and five other English clubs had scouts present for the match between Porto and Braga at the weekend, according to Abola.

The Portuguese newspaper report that representatives for the Gunners, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Southampton and Newcastle were all watching on as Porto beat Braga 1-0 at the Estadio do Dragao stadium on Saturday.

Abola suggest that some of these teams may well have been scouting Porto striker Andre Silva. The prolific striker has been linked with Arsenal consistently over the last few months or so.

Only last week we reported that Arsenal scout Luis Boa Morte was seen at the game between Porto and Belenenses suggesting that the Gunners are keeping a very close eye on the Porto star.

Silva has scored seven goals in 13 league matches for Porto so far this season. The 21-year-old also has four goals in four matches for Portugal after making his debut for the national side against Gibraltar back in September.
