Arsenal are one of four teams interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen starlet Julian Brandt.

The 20-year-old has made 12 Bundesliga appearances for the German outfit so far this season, scoring two goals and creating six in the process, which has supposedly attracted interest from several Premier League clubs.

The Sun (via Daily Mail) claim Manchester United, Everton, Tottenham and Arsenal are all keeping tabs on Brandt and sent scouts to watch his performance in Leverkusen’s 1-1 draw against Cologne last week.

Brandt, who can play on either wing as well as behind the striker, is considered to be one of Germany’s brightest prospects and has already been capped four times at senior level.

Brandt joined Bayer Leverkusen in January 2014 from Wolfsburg’s academy team for just under £300,000 and has made over 75 appearances for the Bundesliga side since.

Tied down until summer 2019, Bayer Leverkusen will be reluctant to sell one of their emerging stars anytime soon.
