One deal done, two more to go, Wenger

|

Hector Bellerin has put pen to paper on a new six-year deal at Arsenal worth £30 million.

The Daily Mirror claims that the speedy right-back has signed a new long-term contract with the Gunners and will pocket in excess of £100,000-a-week, making him one of Arsenal’s top earners.

It is undoubtedly a huge boost for the club and its fans after the 21-year-old Spaniard was attracting interests from Manchester City and former club Barcelona over the summer.

But Bellerin made it clear that he was focused and happy at Arsenal, so an extension to his existing contract was inevitable.

Arsene Wenger will be delighted to have tied down Bellerin for a further six-years at the club. Now the Frenchman will turn his attentions to Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, hoping the duo will follow in their team-mates footsteps.

Both Ozil and Sanchez are into their final two years of their current deal at the Emirates, and are believed to have held talks over new contracts.

Only a few days ago, it was reported that the German playmaker was close to agreeing a new five-year deal at the club, while Sanhez is believed to want a buy-out clause included in any new agreement.

One down, two to go Wenger.
