Arsenal have had a great midfield for many years and this season looks no different.

Made up of five positions, two deeper central midfielders and then three more advanced players, the Gunners central area boasts some of the most talented footballers in the Premier League at the moment.

On the right is Theo Walcott who is enjoying a fine renaissance this season and looks like the player everyone knows he can be. In the centre, off of the striker, is Mesut Ozil who is simply world class on his day and behind him in the more withdrawn roles are Santi Cazorla who can pass the ball with ease and one of Francis Coquelin or Granit Xhaka who add much needed steel.

That’s going without mentioning the likes of Aaron Ramsey for those roles, too, but then we come to a slight area – the left hand side.

Whilst Alex Iwobi has impressed this season at times it is still up for debate as to just how good he can be whilst Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been in and out of the team.

There’s an option, then, for Arsene Wenger to go and sign a top drawer left winger in January and we reckon he should be looking at these five…
