Wolfsburg full-back Ricardo Rodriguez’s agent Gianluca Di Domenico has denied that his client is looking for a move away from the Bundesliga club.
The Swiss international has been linked with a host of Italian clubs, as well as Arsenal, in recent months but Di Domenico told Swiss publication Blick (via calciomercato.com) that the 24-year-old is firmly concentrated on his current club:
“Ricardo is usually object of transfer speculations, but it’s time to put an end to these stories. Ricardo is only focused on Wolfsburg.”
Rodriguez has had a decent start to the season in the German league with two goals and two assists in 12 appearances so far this campaign. Despite Di Domenico’s best efforts though, transfer speculation about the Swiss international will only increase if Wolfsburg’s fortunes don’t improve.
The German side are 14th in the Bundesliga table currently with just 10 points from their opening 12 matches, leaving them dangerously close to the relegation zone. They have won just one of their last nine league games and they have yet to win at home this season.
