Mesut Ozil has allayed fears that he went off injury in Germany’s World Cup Qualifier with Northern Ireland after being substituted at half time as reported by The Independent.

The German left proceedings as the World Champions went on to win 2-0 over the Ulstermen and he confirmed that he was fine after the game as Arsenal fans began to wonder if the case was otherwise.

Germany boss Joachim Low brought on Manchester City’s Ilkay Gundogan as Ozil’s replacement but it now appears the switch was with tactics in mind than being forced by a knock to the Arsenal man.

Ozil took to Twitter to respond to concerned Arsenal fans ahead of their game against Swansea and so should be in contention to play this weekend.

Arsenal can go top of the league if they win and other results go their way and Arsene Wenger will likely play the German at the Emirates as they set about trying to do so.
