Football365 is quoting an interview Arsene Wenger gave to beIN Sports saying that, as yet, he has not had any discussions about extending his contract past the end of this season.

The Frenchman, who recently celebrated his 20th anniversary since taking over at the helm of the club, sees his contract run out come next Summer and it remains to be seen where his future lies.

When asked about whether or not he and the club had discussed a potential extension deal, Wenger’s response was this: “We have not spoken about that.”

Who will take over from Wenger should he leave is the cause of much speculation and debate with Football365 suggesting the current Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is one of the leading contenders for the job.

Arsenal are currently third in the Premier League table, two points behind leaders Manchester City, and know a win over Swansea City at the weekend could see them reach the summit of the league should other results go their way too.
