Arsenal attacking pair Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are willing to sign new contracts with the North London club but want increased wages and release clauses to be included in their deals, according to ESPN.

The Emirates Stadium side are believed to be in the process of trying to convince their key pair to commit to the club with longer contracts.

However, although there could well be some progression in negotiations, the latest report suggests that the duo could have an escape route from the Gunners if clauses are included in their deals.

Both Sanchez and Ozil are likely to have major suitors after their stunning performances in recent times and the pair have been linked with switches to some of world football’s biggest teams since joining Arsenal.

The report suggests that a buyout clause is something that both want in their new deals, which could see a European or domestic rival break the bank to buy them out of their Gunners deal.
