Arsenal have made their interest in Torino wideman Bruno Peres known with a £13.5 million offer for the Brazilian, but the Serie A club have rejected the Gunners’ advances, according to Toro News.
The North London side are on the search for new players, with the big-money signing of midfield lynchpin Granit Xhaka the only addition of note so far this summer.
Peres has impressed for the progressive Turin side and is versatile enough to play as either a right-back or on the wing if needed.
The Emirates Stadium outfit are believed to have been scouting the South American over some time and Arsene Wenger wants to add him to the Gunners squad this summer.
The report states that Torino have rejected the initial bid and are holding out for £17 million for the wideman.
Hector Bellerin is the undoubted first choice at right-back for Arsenal but the signing of Peres could well offer versatility and strength in depth to Wenger’s squad ahead of what is expected to be an exhaustive 2016-17.
