After missing out on Leicester City attacker Riyad Mahrez, Arsenal have turned their attention to fellow Algeria international Yacine Brahimi, according to The Mirror.

The Gunners were linked with the PFA Player of the Year for a number of months after his star performances in leading the King Power Stadium to an unlikely Premier League success.

However, with Mahrez committing to the Foxes and signing a new contract with Claudio Ranieri’s men last week, the North London club will need to look elsewhere.

Brahimi has impressed since joining Porto from Granada, with his shows of skill and ability to score from midfield a real asset for the Portuguese side.

He also starred for Algeria at the 2014 World Cup and as such is highly rated.

Brahimi is supposedly eyeing a move away from the Estadio do Dragao and Porto are willing to part company with their creative playmaker for a £40 million fee.
