Arsenal have been told that they will need to part company with £60 million if they want to sign Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon, The Telegraph report.

The Gunners are in the market for attacking reinforcements and the French club have confirmed that an offer for the lethal marksman has been rejected this summer.

It is believed that Arsene Wenger’s men are considering an improved bid for Lacazette in an effort to bring the striker to North London.

However, with reports that West Ham have also had a massive offer rejected by the Ligue 1 outfit, Lyon are said to have named an astronomical price for their prized asset.

A transfer fee of £60 million would comfortably make Lacazette the club’s most expensive signing ever and is a real indicator into just how inflated the market is currently.

Arsenal have concerns in attack ahead of this weekend’s Premier League opener with Liverpool, with Olivier Giroud reportedly not fit to play.
