Arsenal are ready to make a £30 million offer for unwanted Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony, according to The Daily Star.

The Gunners have been linked with plenty of centre forwards this summer as Arsene Wenger reportedly looks to provide competition to current number nine incumbent Olivier Giroud.

Bony impressed at Swansea City and earned himself a move to the Etihad Stadium, but the presence of Sergio Aguero has stifled the Ivory Coast international’s opportunities to play.

With the arrival of Pep Guardiola this summer, a number of City players are expected to be categorised as surplus to requirements and Bony is believed to be someone who the Catalan trainer will sell.

The African forward has proven that he has all the attributes to score regularly in the Premier League but £30 million seems excessive for a player that has spent the last 18 months largely on the fringes of Premier League action.
