Arsenal are reportedly pushing forward with a move to sign Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi and will meet the Argentine attacker’s agent this week to discuss a possible transfer, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

A host of European clubs are reportedly interested in the gifted hitman, but the latest report suggests that Arsenal have stolen a march on their competitors and will meet Icardi’s agent this week in London.
The club’s fans remain unconvinced by the merits and abilities of Olivier Giroud, with the Emirates Stadium faithful crying out for a striker that can score the goals that will fire the club to silverware in 2016-17.
