Arsenal are embroiled in a battle with Liverpool to sign highly rated Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic this summer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Gunners have already landed Granit Xhaka in the off-season, but with a host of ageing midfielders leaving the club there could well be scope for another new face in the boiler room.
Brozovic has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium in the past and is believed to be a player that Arsene Wenger admires.
The Croatia international has starred for the Nerazzurri since moving to Italy from his homeland, but the Milanese club are believed to be ready to cash in on their asset.
A move for Axel Witsel is in Inter’s gaze and to raise the required transfer fee offloading Brozovic is believed to be a potential option.
The report suggests a fee in the £20 million range could be enough to see the Croatian end up as a Gunner.
