Arsenal will announce that they have completed a deal to sign highly rated defender Rob Holding on Wednesday, according to The Bolton News.
The Gunners have been hot on the heels of the Bolton Wanderers centre-half this summer and look to have beaten a host of other Premier League sides to his capture.
Reports in the press suggest that Holding passed an Arsenal medical on Monday night, with the clubs coming to terms over a transfer.
The North Londoners look ready to pay an initial £2 million to land Holding, with a host of other add-ons dependent on the player’s performance and progress at the Emirates Stadium.
Holding played 26 Championship games for Bolton last term but could not prevent the club from being relegated to League One.
Arsenal may well need defensive reinforcements given that Per Mertesacker is getting older and Laurent Koscielny could miss the start of the new campaign.
