Arsenal are leading the chase to land Colombian forward Carlos Bacca and could well beat West Ham to his signature this summer, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The Gunners fans have urged their manager to purchase a new centre forward, with plenty unconvinced that current option Olivier Giroud can score the required goals to lead the North London club to major silverware.
Bacca has impressed since moving to Europe and has scored goals galore for both Sevilla and AC Milan in recent years, with a goal-laden first season in Serie A in 2015-16.
The Colombia international is being targeted by West Ham as their marque signing, but the South American has been vocal in his desire to play in the Champions League.
Arsenal could well take advantage of this and if reports in Italy are to be believed, Bacca may well be the new striker to lead the Gunners forward in 2016-17.
