West Ham have been linked with a move for Theo Walcott in recent weeks, but that ‘rumour’ seems to have fizzled out…for now.
However, it appears the Hammers have targeted another Gunner and are thought to be close to signing teenager Tyrell Robinson on a two-year contract.
According to the Daily Mail, the 18-year-old, who can operate on either wing, is in talks with West Ham.
Robinson has featured for Arsenal at Under-21 level last season and manged seven goals for the Under-18 side.
Robinson has trained with the Arsenal senior team in the past and was also part of the Under-18 squad that narrowly missed out on a place in the Youth Cup final last season.
It is believed the winger, who can also play as an emergency left-back, is held in high regard by the Arsenal hierarchy after handing him a professional contract in January 2015.
Although Arsenal rate the youngster highly, his chances of making the breakthrough into the first-team next season is unlikely.
