Mathieu DebuchyWest Brom are looking to sign Mathieu Debuchy on an end-of-season loan this month after Arsene Wenger recalled Serge Gnabry from the Hawthorns.

Gnabry failed to impress Tony Pulis and only managed to make three appearances for the Midlands club, but the former Stoke City boss is now targeting a move for Debuchy, with the French right-back desperate for regular first-team football ahead of Euro 2016 this summer.

The 30-year-old France international lost his place in Arsene Wenger’s side after the emergence of Hector Bellerin.

Under Premier League rules, clubs are not allowed to loan two players from the same club, but with Gnabry departing the Hawthorns it means Pulis is able to land Debuchy on loan this month.

The Baggies are believed to be short of options in the right-back position and have played the majority of the campaign with a centre-back in this role.

But on hearing of Debuchy’s current position at Arsenal, Pulis is willing to give the Frenchman the chance to prove his worth and obtain regular first-team action under him.

West Brom will however have competition for his signature, with Roma and Lyon also believed to be keen on the former Lille player.
