Are you all ready for this one? Emmanuel Eboue would love to return to Arsenal.
The 32-year-old former Arsenal favourite has become a free agent after being released by Galatasaray over the summer.
The ex-Ivory Coast international spent all of last season playing for Galatasaray’s reserves after making 102 total appearances beforehand for the Turkish outfit.
Eboue insists his relegation to the second string team was purely down to political issues and is now considering his options, with a return to Arsenal in mind:
‘I came back for training and I was told I would not be playing.
‘The president [Dursun Ozbek] told the manager [Cesare Prandelli] at the time not to pick me. The way I was treated was very unfair.
‘We are looking for options and I would love to come back to Arsenal.’
Despite some boos during his time at Arsenal, where he spent six years, the Emirates faithful could not get enough of his enthusiasm, and his character was infectious.
But with all that aside and just looking at Eboue the footballer, would you like to see him back at Arsenal?
Although I like the guy, I don’t see what he could offer us. We have younger and better options currently at the club and if Mathieu Debuchy can’t get a game, what chance does Eboue have?
Would be great to see him back at Arsenal, but it’s not going to happern.
IF Debuchy leaves and Eboue happy to be a back-up player to Bellerin then sure why not, doubt he demand big wages
No chance of that happening. That’s not the way Wenger plays it. Another controversial returnee would be Free agent Emmanuel Adebayor. Worth a punt for the rest of the season, no?
Remeber when Ade left Arsenal for Man City? He sure showed – when he scored against us – how much of a gunner he is. We would do better without any Judas.
