£60M-rated star rules out Arsenal move

|

pierre-emerick aubameyangI just bloody knew it was too good to be true.

Yesterday, Kike Marin, via his Twitter Account, said Arsenal had launched a club record fee of £44.7 million for the services of Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Prior to this revelation from the Spanish journalist, it had been suggested that the Gunners were readying a £44.2 million move for the African Player of the Year. It all seemed too good to be true. Then Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke then came out and said that the German club ‘are not dependent on anyone’ – in other words, no one is irreplaceable. Combine this with Aubameyang failing to turn up to training, which sparked further speculation, only to hear he had personal problems, hence his absence.

But it looks like this transfer rumour has finally been put to bed by the 26-year-old striker himself.

When asked about his future last night, the current top scorer in the Bundesliga bluntly said:

‘I don’t want to go to Arsenal. I won’t leave Dortmund soon.’

Many of us were praying for this move to happen, but I’m sorry to say we won’t be seeing him at the Emirates…not this transfer window anyway.
