KrychowiakArsenal target Grzegorz Krychowiak has admitted he has heard of interest from the Gunners in his services, but will leave it for his agent to handle.

Arsene Wenger is keen to bolster his squad this month and is close to making Basel’s Mohamed Elneny his first January signing.

The Frenchman also stated that a ‘maximum two’ signings will more than likely be made, but only if he can get the right player for the right price.

Krychowiak, 25, was heavily linked with a move to the Emirates over the summer, but Wenger decided not to add to his midfield ranks.

However, with a depleted midfield heading into the busy end of the season, Wenger may consider rekindling his interest in Krychowiak.

On hearing of the reported interest in him, the Poland international said:

‘The Premier League? Some say it’s the best in the world, other people think that’s La Liga.

‘I’ve heard about Arsenal, but I leave it to my agent.

‘I trust him and he’s the one who deals with that kind of the stuff. I can’t think about things like that.

‘I have to keep my mind free of any distraction and just focus on doing my job for Sevilla.’

Although Krychowiak would add further depth to the squad, Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla are both expected to be back fit next month and Wenger may decide that the sole addition of Elneny could be enough to withstand the rigorous schedule until the end of the season.
