An offer Arsenal should accept?

|

JeseArsenal have been given the green light by Real Madrid to sign Jese Rodriguez when the January transfer window opens, according to reports in Spain.

The 22-year-old has struggled to feature in Rafa Benitez’s plans this season, making just eight La Liga appearances to date, which has led to speculation that the forward could be heading out of the Bernabeu next month.

It’s been rumoured that Arsenal have kept tabs on the Spaniard since his youth days and have previously been linked with a move for him in the past couple of months.

And now Spanish magazine Don Balon claim the Gunners will be offered the chance to sign Jese in January, either on a transfer or loan.

Real are believed to want to get Jese off their books and believe they could get as much as £20 million for his signature.

Arsenal have struggled for forward options this season, with Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez out injured. Theo Walcott has just returned from a long-term injury and with Olivier Giroud the club’s recognized centre-forward, Arsene Wenger would do well to bring in a new striker ahead of the busy end of the season.

So if reports are to be believed that Real are to offer Jese to the Gunners, should they take it?
