Joel CampbellFenerbahce and Galatasaray are set to go head-to-head to sign Joel Campbell.

The 23-year-old’s contract at the Emirates runs out in the summer and despite a recent run in the side, his future at Arsenal still remains unclear.

Campbell got his first Arsenal goal against Swansea last month and has kept his place in the starting XI for the games against Bayern Munich and Spurs.

But despite his recent involvement with Arsenal, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are ready to test Arsene Wenger’s resolve when the January transfer window opens, according to reports in Turkey as reported by talkSPORT.

With Campbell’s contract entering the final six months, the Costa Rica international will be allowed to talk to other clubs from outside of England and Both Turkish outfits are readying him an offer.

Despite signing for Arsenal back in 2011, Campbell has spent the majority of his time out on loan to several clubs from around Europe, including Lorient, Real Betis, Olympiakos and last season with Villarreal.

As a result, the forward has made just six Premier League appearances for Arsenal and could decide to move on in January to gain regular first-team football.

Wenger has previously stated that he wants to keep Campbell at Arsenal, but with a number of first-team players set to return from injury, including Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, its highly likely that the Frenchman will bring either of the England duo back in the side to replace the Costa Rican forward, meaning Joel could be set for another spell on the bench – a place he will not enjoy.

Campbell has the potential and ability to succeed but Wenger has to decide whether he can keep him happy at Arsenal. If he can’t, then the Frenchman shouldn’t waste his or Campbell’s time and part ways on good terms.
